TWO STUDENTS OF IUO SELECTED TO ATTEND ALL-EXPENSE PAID TRAINING IN CHINA BY HUAWEI



Two students of Igbinedion University Okada have been selected by Huawei for a two weeks and all-expense paid trip to China to attend the forthcoming “Seed for future” programme of Huawei under its Community Social Responsibility programme at the IT giant’s headquarter in China.
The students are Miss Lazarus Ebieretei Blessing, a 200 level student of Chemical Engineering in the College of Engineering and Miss Ihenhen Joy Ehinome, a 500 level student of Electrical Electronics Engineering also in the College of Engineering of the University.
The two students were found worthy after a series of training and examination conducted by the Huawei academy recently established as part of the Vice-Chancellors Initiative (VCI) at Igbinedion University Okada.
The “seed for future” initiative of Huawei is an annual capacity building scheme of the company to groom younger generation of IT gurus especially from developing countries.
