Benin Film Academy wins Best Film Award



‘Depression’, a film production of the Benin Film Academy has won the best short movie award at a recently concluded film festival, at Lekki International Film Festival, Lagos.
Another of the Academy’s Production, “Family First” which featured some staff and students of Igbinedion University, Okada, was adjudged the best among many films presented at the event. It would be recalled that same film was premiered at Igbinedion University, Okada, during the 20th anniversary celebration in May 2019.
Mr. Lancelot Imasuen is the Director of the Benin film Academy (BFA) which is collaborating with IUO on the training of Students through the Universities Theatre Arts Departments.
It could be noted that Lancelot Imasuen is collaborating with Igbinedion University at the training of students at the Benin film academy.
The Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, Professor Lawrence Ikechukiwu Ezemonye was credited as the executive producer of the film.
Among the dignitaries at the festival were; Mr. Kene Mkparu, MD Komworld and founder film House Cinema, Professor Tony Adah, University of Minnesota, USA and many others.
